Default 2015 WRX Power cable for Amp

I would like to know if there is a specific hole to run the power cable for the amp from the battery into the car. I have seen some Youtube videos of people running the power cable through a rubber grommet but I don't want to open a hole in the rubber grommet. Does anyone know a different way? Thank you for your help in advance.

either the grommet, or drill a whole. Id say the grommet is the easier faster way. Just did it this way myself. Super quick and hidden. A better grommet to use than the one you have pictured is the one that the factory uses for its power wires from the fuse box. It is located behind the drivers wheel well.

You only have 2 choices:

1. Cut a grommet.
2. Drill a hole.

I don't see how drilling a hole would be considered a better solution, but it is a solution.

Under the right wheel liner, where the hood latch release line runs, is a nice spot to sneak a cable through the gromit without cutting it.

This video shows how to go into the driver's side fender for the last gen WRX

The 2015 should be similar, and I plan to do some exploring by following the Hood release latch line once I decide which amp to purchase.

I can confirm, it's the same. I routed my cable in this manner.

When you open the hood the gap is hidden by a soft trim panel, just pop it off and there it is.

Yep +1 confirmation. There is even a little spare "nipple" on the grommet down there that you can slice off that fits a 4AWG power cable perfectly tight!
