Hi, all
I am in need of help regarding the installation of the AST 4150's, so far they come with no instructions whatsoever, I never had to put coilovers together and the fact that apparently only the rear have helper springs is confusing. I have camber plates in the front. I am just trying to make sure I am not missing a step.
this is what I have so far.

Thanks. Samy.

H&R patented ‘Triple C’ Bolts replace the original upper fastening bolts on McPherson strut applications. ????

Why does H&R say to put them there but this faq says you cant put aftermarket bolts in the top spot?

Im confused my coilover set came with the TRIPLE C camber bolts for the front it says to put them in the spot where the factor camber bolt is.. As in Replace it with the H&R bolts..

Nevermind I think I figured it out

The first camber bolt installed should go in the top hole. Many cheap cars come with NO camber bolts at all from the factory, so the aftermarket bolt IS the first bolt and goes in the top hole. With our cars, that first camber bolt is put in at the Subaru factory. So, in this case, the generic instructions H&R publishes are wrong.

Yea.. I went back and re-read the faq etc.. Plus the bolt its 14mm bolt so it wouldn't fit properly in the top anyway right?..

I was just wondering because it came with my H&R coilover kit.. I didn't know if the application would be different since im not using the factory struts but the H&R coilovers.

Thanks..

It came with generic instructions as you pointed out.. Hell I don't even know how to put the stock top mounts on the Coilovers.. It didn't give instructions with the kit..

Looking for a good set of struts/springs or coils that are wife friendly but really don't want to drop the cash of Pss9. Mostly spirited driving with some autocross. Any reconnendations? And things to look out for since I know you get what you pay for

Coilovers are very straightforward.

- put car in air
- remove wheels
- loosen nuts on tophats but don't remove
- on fronts remove brake line holder
- on fronts remove large bolts holding lower strut to hub (if car has camber bolts in front which it should mark their presentation so you reinstall them the same way
- free strut from hub
- lift slightly and unbolt the top nuts to remove strut completely
- remove bolts in rear strut from lower control arm
- unscrew top nuts and pull out
- reverse process to install new coils
- be prepared to lift car up and down a couple times to check and adjust ride height on a level surface
- go get an alignment
