Question Sunroof jumps when door is closed.

I just noticed today - when closing door shut sunroof jumps. It is understandable that value of air inside dramatically changes when open door being closed rapidly, and this causing air press on the weakest spot - Sunroof.

I never had a car with sunroof before, so I am not sure. Is that normal for all car with sunroof, all Imprezas or only me?

It is normal. But I think most car is less noticeable, I guess the subaru vehicles are more air tight.

yeah i dont think it should do that if the sunroof wasnt tight then water would leak in when it rained. my bro has a sunroof and so does my dad and both of those cars dont do anything like that when you close the door. do all the 2002 wrx have sunroofs or are they an option?

Eugene, I wouldn't worry, I've seen that on countless Rs's, mine included, and I don't have any problems.

Funny note, one person that was happening to thought his frame was warped because of his overly stiff suspension setup.

Mine has 117K miles, no sunroof, yet since day one and mile one I gotta try 2-3 times to get the door shut due to air pressure. If any window is cracked open it will click shut by its self. Legacy too

All sunroofs leak water, they can't be water tight that's why they have a drain pan built in and 4 drain tubes in all 4 pillars to let the water out. And yes all sunroofs pop up a little when the doors close.
