Talking Need help with my subaru built.

i own a 07 sti

I already upgraded my car with
-Cobb downpipe
-Megan Racing exhaust
-and open source tune

now my issue is i already purchased but not installed yet
-Tomei El header
-Tomei twin scroll up pipe
-Perrin intake
-Turbo xs FMIC

and as i did some more research i read that it would be useless to run my fmic without upgrading, injectors, and bigger turbo. is this true and if i do run the fmic will i lose power cause of the bigger piping?
can i just install all the parts and open source dyno tune it or do i need an AP first?

im at the point where i can install the parts and also tune it but if i should wait on the fmic should i push it aside till i upgrade the injectors and turbo and if so what should be next to buy.
i know i need a gas pump and inlet what would be the order of the things i purchase.

sorry to sound new but im comfused cause tuners tell me one thing and this site says other things...

help is greatly appreciated

You should listen to the tuners because they...you know...tune.

Assuming they're reputable tuners. And you do have some in your neck of the woods.

Always get with the best tuner in your area. Do what the man who is going to tune your car says. HE is the guy who has to make it work, not 500 armchair tuners on the internet.

You have two major forms of tuning, Open Source and AP. You don't need an AP before an open source.

It appears you are simply shotgunning parts that sound cool. Why do I say that? You have a twin scroll up pipe, but not a twin scroll turbo.

So then why do you need our help?

And how does this mechanic expect to make twin scroll work with your turbo?

My bet, he will make an attempt at making it work then tell the OP he needs a new twin scroll turbo.

If it were me,
Do your supporting mods first > injectors, fuel pump, intake. Leave the front mount till you need it (bigger turbo). Which by the sounds of it you will be buying shortly or getting a different uppipe. Once you get that hammered out and comfortable with your tuner, headers/uppipe/retune.

Oh and stop listening to some mechanic who is not responsible for your car and find a reputable tuner, the one who is going to make your car go fast, and listen to him.

Do not listen to us.
Listen to your tuner. As said above, he/she is the one that needs to make it work for you. Unless they say that you can run a twin scroll exhaust without a twin scroll turbo. Then you need to talk with someone else.

Also, never buy before you research. Always research then buy.

i did research better but i must of missed the whole injectors n fuel pump before fmic thing. and the tomei header came with a twin scroll and i ask my friend mechanic and said i could use the twin scroll up pipe that it would help my turbo spool faster and i believed him 100% but either way i already have a invidia up pipe.

and thanks for the comments, help and support im just going to talk directly to my tuner next time

Excellent idea! I'm surprised nobody here recommended that.

If you're not buying "cool" parts, then how else do you explain buying parts that will NOT work on your car?

Sarcasm aside, I'd like to see how this turns out once you get your ducks in a row with your tuner.

Sounds like your friend mechanic is a shade tree type guy.

A twin scroll header/up pipe will help your car spool better with a twin scroll TURBO.

And you don't need a fuel pump and injectors to run an FMIC. Read the manifesto.

He's in the Bay Area so yes he does. 3 of them. Highly unlikely any of them will tune his car open source though.
