NO dash lights and climate control lights

Hi,
I have done a little research and a little investigation and I can't find the root of this problem I have!

Neither my dash lights (speedo, tach, fuel, factory gauge pack) nor my climate control lights come on anymore!! Now I am not a complete idiot but I am a newbie...I checked the corresponding fuse for those lights and it was blown. So I took a spare fuse (yes the right number) from the main fuse box and replaced the fuse. Then I turn my lights off then on and still no dash lights. Then I checked the new fuse that I had just installed and once it again it was blown. Now I know this means I have a short somewhere but I can't find it and was hoping someone would have a suggestion on where I should start. One last CYA point..yes I know how to operate the dimmer switch and that is NOT the issue either. Thanks in advance for any help!
