Junk yard turbo, lay out

Of i think i am going got do this. i will get the turbo and modify my existing exsot system to use it., now here are some questions. Where would my mass air flow sinsor go? befor or after the turbo? i am thinking Of a Apex fule controler and a Greddy turbo timer. I know i am going to have to make the intake and fit a inter cooler. but befor I jump into this I wont to know if there is any thing I am missing? and has any one tryed this??
