Default Detailed Keggar's WRX headed for HIN Last Night

Click For All The Pics

It was the most uncomfortably hot and humid night out last night. By the end of the night, my t-shirt was literally Liquid.

Craig is a very cool guy. . .glad to have met you! And once again, sorry about the "rust proofing" My Bad.

Beautiful car. . .here are some highlights:

Before

Hood After initial DACP (Dual Action Cleaner and Polish)

Front End after DACP

Side after DACP

It was raining at this point, so the rest are using his Garage lighting and my cheap camera's lighting

Finished car with DACP, Meguiars Gold Class Wax and Meguiars NXT Wax

Bling In The Trunk!

That's about it for now. . .got another HIN WRX car to detail tonight, this time with Bwana. . .pics to follow

Is the hood supposed to look like that? Looks uneven or like it's open on one side but not on the other?

It's not suspossed to look like that. I think the bumper is causing the hood to not line up like that. Luckly for the show, the hood will be half propped open, so you'd never know the diff. . .

Its a brand new Syms bumper. I simply have to lower it a little bit on the drivers side and the hood will fit just fine. Just to make sure, I am ordering a set of Cusco hood pins.

Mr. Freeze...whats up man! You are right, your old wing does look damn sexy!

Please, for God's sake, ALWAYS use pins on c/f hoods.

Other than that, it looks like a pretty well done car.

That wasn't a GC8 in the garage in the first pic. It was his GF's brother's civc. I had him move it so I could have the garage and the WRX all my self. . .[evil laugh]

There wasn't enough room for both cars and for me to move around it.

David,

You really did an awesome job! The car seriously looks better than when I just bought it and drove it off the lot. It was nice to meet you and your girlfriend. If you ever need a reference for your work, I'd be more than happy to give a great recommendation. Give me a call if you are heading up to HIN this Saturday.

Dave-
Awesome job. I'm a fan of DACP too. I did Don's car last night, paint prep for HIN. Yeah, that was the teh hottest night ever for detailing. Keg's ride looks shiny! Have you ever used Klasse on a CF hood? I went klasse then gold class on the last one i did....wow. Worked well with the epoxy

Skiblur,

I just got home from doing Terry's WRX. . .I'm beat like a 2 bit whore in china town. . .I've done AIO topped by Zaino on a CF hood before. . .not SG though.

My next time over at Terry's, I'm gonna strip one section and do a coat of Zaino on it and see if he likes it better than the DACP/Gold Class/NXT/Final Inspection #34/S100 combo that it's got on it now. . .

Gary,

Any time you're ready, let me know. . .
