This thread is for listing every dragstrip in the Mid-A area. For you Pennsylvania residents, I have only included tracks west of Philadelphia since that is the unoffical Mid-A cut-off point for PA residents. If there is a dragstrip in your area or soon to be, please post or PM me and I will update this thread. Additionally, please post reviews of these dragstrips in this post as well. If you find something wrong here, please let me know.

Isn't Summerduck a 1/8th mile track? Good work though, Ron.

Thanks for the addition Jared.

I think you are right Brent. It doesn't say specifically on their site, but after viewing a few of the times, I believe it is an 1/8 mile track. If anyone else can back this up, I would appreciate it.

Review of MIR:

Track is an IHRA track that is setup to safely handle dragsters that can get up into the 300mph range. Staff is very diligent in keeping the track well-maintained and keeping it safe. Track is 1/4 mile by default, but they can run 1/8 mile if they need to. Every Friday night is Midnight Madness, where you can bring your car out and compete for fun or competition. Since there is no neighborhoods close by, they can run until they are done. The track is setup to where its 1/4 mile, then you got about 3/4 to 1 mile of stopping distance, with a sandtrap at the very end if you can't get stopped. There is only 1 exit from the track, which is at the very end on your right. Typically its $20 to race. You can park for free to spectate, or you can pay $10 to park on the pit side (recommended unless there is a big event going on there).

Review of 75-80 Dragway:

Track is NHRA affiliated. As the name suggests, its at the intersections of MD Rt. 75 and MD Rt. 80 about 3 miles south of I-70. If you ever watch Motorweek on PBS or Speed TV, this is the dragstrip where they test all of their cars. This track is poorly maintained. The crew keeps the dragstrip free of debris and cleans up any spills, but that is about it. For spectators, you got wooden stands that has some wood that should be replaced (they consistently warn the ppl in the top row to not lean back against the piece of wood that serves as a rail for the top row). There is a very large import crowd that races here on Test & Tune Fridays. There tends to be a rough crowd that associates at this track, and they have had problems in the past w/ ppl rioting against the police presence there. For the racing part, its 1/4 for anything over 10s I believe, but for anything under 10s I think its 1/8 mile. The reason for this is that the track does not have a long stopping area. If you are racing, once you hit the traps you MUST stand on your brakes. For exits from the track into the spectator area there are 3 exits on your left as u r going down the track. The track owner has had surgery and for a while now has been trying to sell the track, so the future of this track is always in question. They shut down at 11pm to keep the neighbors happy. I believe its $8 to watch, and $20 to race.
