Default tuning for a blow off valve?

i see many many guys with front mounts with bovs, and a few different friends have told me that theyve tuned there wrxs to be able to run a bov with no negative effects( except probably boost leak i guess) Both of them have utec. now, it this possible to some how "tune" for a bov or is that just a load of crap?

and while im on the subject of fuel/ ecu tuning, when you install an aftermarket intake, does that make you run lean? ive seen the intake faq, and it just says that it alters the fuel/ air mix. is this something you can tune for as well if you have utec?
