Default So I lost my wedding ring

in the Pacific while my wife and I were on our 10 year anniversary...

and it was my grandfathers wedding band - which makes it suck a little more.

so now i am on the hunt for a wedding band.

Ours came from here...

http://www.titaniumstyle.com/

They were good to deal with through a couple sizing issues in the beginning of the order (my fault, not theirs).

This site has a lot of the same designs but costs much less. Myself and several of my friends have rings from here and not a single one of us have had an issue.

I very specifically wanted titanium with a platinum inlay (and I don't see that on the site you posted). It was not easy to find.

You now have the perfect reason to not wear a wedding band. My wife bitched incessantly for the first year when I stopped wearing mine. Had I lost it, she wouldn't have had anything to complain about other than my carelessness.

Think about this before you buy another.

my ring is tungsten. heavy for it's size, so you know it's there. the only downside is that you can't size it. i lost about 35 lbs since the wedding and now it's loose enough to lose.

we were going to order a replacement, but the jeweler requires that we send the ring back for an exhcange, which could take 8 weeks.

Strange. I almost purchased a platinum inlay from that site but I guess they dropped it from their product line. It has been a while since I checked out the site....

Tungsten Carbide.

It's not really a "precious" metal, but it is incredibly hard and will not scratch or dull like a gold, platinum or titanium ring.

I used to work for a company that made Ti jewelry.
http://www.edwardmirell.com
I love my Ti band I got from them- I don't see it in their catalog anymore (10 years old) but it's just a simple Ti band with a bevel and a gold inlay. It's so light I forget I'm wearing it.

drag.
I was swimming once and afterward, saw one of the small diamonds in my wedding band was gone. These were pulled from my wife's mom's wedding ring and she was crushed. I grabbed the pool vacum and got to work. After an hour or so, my Dad came out trying to talk me into giving up. It was such a tiny stone... literally a needle ina hay stack. As he told me how hard-headed I was, I sifted through the nesty pool vacum bag with my hands and there it was. "Not hard headed, dad... Tenacious."

I don't wear it anymore. Man, have you noticed how much ya get hit on by other chicks when wearing a wedding band vs how little ya do when not wearing it??

I made a ring from stainless for my buddy as a knock-around wedding band so he didn't damage his expensive-ass one during work

Well, if you're going to lose a ring, that's a pretty good way to lose one.
