Default My very nice sounding setup WRX 07

Hi you all,

I wanted to share my sound system. We build it with 2 goals. Maximum sound quality and maximum usage of space. So no fiberglass painted panels or leather etc. although i do like that a lot. Maybe next time.
Let me know what you think.
Oh and sorry for poor picture quality and dirty car. And maybe the pics are a little big too.........

Looks like they do very clean and organized installs. Are they re-branded drivers and amps?

Hi,

No the amps are from STEG (Italy)
The speakers are re branded from Vifa, although customized for Exact! Audio specs.

Thx for the compliment on the install. We do our best!

How do those speakers sound from the rear deck? I wanted to do this a couple weeks ago and suggested it on here and got ripped apart, so i've just been waiting on it.

Also, where did u get the zip tie tags to label your wiring? Those are pretty neat

Wow yea that cable management is first rate - usually I hide all the cables and run them under amp racks out of sight - getting 4 gauge to wrap around like that is such a PITA!

I've been really tempted to install thru the rear seat area like that but I've heard *really* bad results reported when installing in that fashion - and more often than not I've had poor results with forward-firing drivers that far forward in the trunk - so how does that one sound?
What kind of enclosure do you have it in?
What do you have running to it?

I would think that the tweeter pods in the a-pillar like that would really blast the driver/passanger in the face- especially with that much seperation between the tweet and the mid - any attenuation there or are they part of a comp set?

wow im speachless. Great looking setup and super clean install.

So i assume you are running those speakers with active x-overs. Can you give full details on your setup? HU? Sound processor? How much sound deadening and where did you put it?

Thanks!

Very nice...

I really like the front door panels... I need a set for a 00' RS for IDQ8's please.. lol..

The A-pillars are sweet, except for hiding the tweeter..

The rear deck I could do without, but for a demo car, you need to show as much as you can... so no harm, no foul...

The amprack is very nice, nice usage of space, except for the caps... bit of a waist, but again, for a demo car, you are trying to sell installs, which could include caps I suppose..

What did you do in front of the amprack to trim out the sub box? looks like a flat panel..

Overall, I'd say very nice Sir..

Sweet set up. I really like the tweeter mounts up front. Is that a custom mold or did you pick that up somewhere?

Yea with such nice pods I'm glad to see the tweeters are run actively - a passive system would have been ungodly bright.

I still love the amp/cable management - talk about good use of space.

What about that forward firing sub?

What xover points did you use?

Looks vary nice man. I did a 10" sub in the same spot. I like it for the most part. But am going to redo it with a 12" sub as the 10" dosnt play the lower notes I want.

Later.

Very nicely done install. Not too many people in the states know about STEG amplifiers. Very high end stuff. Loving the wiring job. Nothing better than a techflexed labeled wiring setup.

Super clean install. What kinda wire did you use? Does it come with the outer black loom or did you have to put that in. If so where do you get it? Makes the install look so much better, never been a big fan of multiple colored wires running all over the place. Also was there a lot of cutting required for the rear deck install. Id like to put some speakers in my rear deck. If you have anymore pictures of what they look like from the underside that you could post that would be great.

Install looks great. Feel like coming to Nebraska to install my system for me ?

GoFast - the sleeve on the wiring is techflex

http://www.parts-express.com/wizards...fg&srchMfg=299

Does anyone with experience using techflex happen to know what size sleeve I need for 8 awg power wires?
