What is it?

Subtle Solutions - Chimney Duct w/ Turbo Heat Shield was designed to fit the Subaru Impreza (2002 - 2007) WRX & STI. While utilizing the stock intercooler mounting bracket and hole(s), this 304 Stainless Steel product helps eliminate heat soak on your intercooler by providing an outlet aka "chimney" for hot air to escape through your factory or aftermarket hoodscoop splitter vents. While driving, this product allows cooler air to travel through the chimney and push warmer air out of the engine bay and down towards the ground. We are very proud to say that all of our products are MADE IN USA!

You completely misunderstood what I was saying.

Yes, you can pay in cash and pick this product up in person. (Huntington Beach, CA).

This does not mean sales tax is removed from the transaction. Sales tax for cash transactions will be covered by the seller (Subtle Solutions).

We in no way have ever avoided paying sales tax as a business here in California!

From what I recall, the 08/09 STI TMIC requires a different left side mounting bracket and the intercooler itself is a bit larger (length).

My car is a bit of a mutt - '06 Legacy GT spec B with an '05 STi intake manifold, used to be perrin top mount, but switching to the '08sti to see if it will cool the charge better... I was running into all sorts of heatsoak issues since the scoop insert wouldn't fit in the hood with the thickness of the perrin... I'll get some pictures once it all comes together, I really like the concept of this piece.
