Another Chick Advice Thread

Kind of at a loss as to what to do. Here's the situation.

About 4 years ago I dated this girl and things kinda didn't end very well. Haven't heard from her since. I was really hurt by it. Whatever, time goes on.

Fast foward to some time last week. As I was on facebook I came across her page. I figure, hmm ok it's been 4 years everything should be fine and dandy now. Like all the other females that I've had a little rough waters with in the past have been smoothed over. So I try to add her and was rejected. Ok cool, no big deal. Well last Sunday I run into her because I'm good friends with her cousins and just so happens to goto school here. The entire time we were there she extremely quiet and, just my observation, a little uncomfortable. I thought this was a little odd. I mean it didn't seem exactly out of place knowing her but it has been 4 years!

Now heres MY issue. Some old feelings for her have sparked and can't shake this feeling that I should ask for another chance. In the past I made this huge mistake of going behind my friends back and going ahead with dating her. That kind of severed ties with my friend but that only lasted a year and now we're best friends again. Which is making me think I should at the very least ask to see if its cool first and if he'll help me. Only problem is, I'm trying not to repeat my mistakes of the past of trying to sound desperate and such. Which in the past I use to do as such.

Just to give you an idea of how strong of feelings I had for her in the past, and I can feel it'd be as strong of feelings this time if I let it continue to grow, before I met her I was heavily drinking pretty much every other day. The day I started dating her, or atleast spending time with her, I stopped drinking. All my friends who I would drink with were in complete shock that I refused to drink with them because I felt no need to.

So before going ahead with any of this, if at all. What do you recommend? I'd greatly appreciate it. No pics or IDP cause she doesn't have any and I don't have any...yet. If great success there will be pics. <_<

Exactly the responses I knew I was gonna get. For the record, I was over it. I was just seeing what kind of advice I could get if I should even bother trying again since the opportunity presented itself. Oh well - moving on.

Oh and the facebook doesn't have a profile pic. Determination that it was her's based on location, mutual friends, and not a very common name.
