Question Car Overheat issue - new rad, thermostat, hoses.

Greets,

A few weeks ago I installed a new radiator (GMS) and a new thermostat, and hoses. All was well. Car was running great, temps were cooler (just under 1/2 way).

Well, yesterday on way to lunch something happened near the hose at the bottom of the radiator (the one that leads to the thermostat). Fluid was everywhere and the car instantly overheated. I pulled off to let the car cool down and that seemed to work ok. I did manage to limp the car home without too many issues.

Got home and checked it and the top hose was cool and the radiator was cool. I even had the heater on and no hot air was coming out. Most of the fluid looks like it leaked out the bottom of the hose/radiator. Not sure if my clamp came loose or something else.

Any thoughts on what to check? I'll be jacking up the car this weekend to look at the hose and double-check the thermostat, etc.

~Allen

The hoses were GMS silicon hoses. The clamps are the OEM ones on the '02 WRX.

Car has been running great for about a month. So not sure if it just came loose or what not...
