I had a hard time believing the news today. You had killed yourself at the old fishing hole we used to frequent when we were young. We had lost contact over the years but I still fondly remember the crazy times of our youth and memories we both shared. I wish I could have helped you with your financial problems. I know it’s never easy but asking for help is not a sign of weakness. How do I know? I once stood there, my friend, at the edge of the abyss. I was lucky in that I found help before it was too late. I wish you would have been as fortunate. So, now your family and friends will try to pull ourselves together and wonder, what could we have done differently? It will hurt, but we will go on. I hope you have found the peace you were looking for, my friend.

I'm here at work but I'm not here at work. Most of the mutual friends I've been in contact with are pretty shocked. This was a happy-go-lucky person. It's hard to imagine what kind of despair brought this on.

damn sorry to hear about the bad news, I lost a friend my senior year in HS (he way a year older) and that was really the first person I lost that was close to me. Youll get through it
