Yeah the shifting problem really killed my times, but at a mile high everyone keeps telling me I will be lucky to hit low 11's with a 35r.

Three words........see my sig

trap speed sucks for a 35r, but it depends on a lot factors.

How much does the car weight? how much power did it put down? what is your altitude? how was the weather?

There has been a few run into the 10's with a 35r up here.. but it's not easy. You should see mid to low 11's. Get some practice... and hopefully now that your clutch is fixed you can drop those numbers down a bunch!! Do you ever run at PMP or just Bandimere?

A little off the subject but, according to that calculator I'm comparable to cars running an 11.1 @ 125.6 mph at sea level

I'm sorry but you either have something wrong with your car or your tune.

Trap speeds tell the story... 103mph trap speed in a stock weighted STI even with the worst driver would take no more than 250-275whp... You claim nearly 200 more than that (believable).

You need to go see your tuner or similar as no matter how bad the run is, a trap speed will not be more than 3-4mph different from a good run to a bad run.

-Jerod

You @ 5000ft nm.. You should still trap well over 112-120mph with that power even @ 5000ft and a horrible run.

I think we should save the comments from when he gets back for the next attempt. My bone stock 04 trapped 104. Obviously there were issues, so hopefully at that power level she'll trap 120's.

I been to the track 3 times in my whole life, on the 12.1 run I pull a 1.845. My best so far has been a 1.75, but I have never had 2.0 . I use LC and coilovers setup really stiff .

Bandimere is just a 30min drive from my house so I think I will be going there mostly, you should come down to bandi on wed for test and tune(I got some CSP free vouchers).

No 1.7 with a big turbo and no LC is good. If you can make a clean pass after a 1.7 60ft you will run a good time...

This is what I going to do the next time out, I think it can help you.

Quote:
Its really easy, got coilovers and slammed the front to the ground while leaving the rear tires a good inch out of the wheel well.

lowered the pressure in the tires to 19-20psi, slip dump at 5500-6500.
and....

Quote:
1.) Set ride height via corner balance, if it's setup for drag, leave ATLEAST 1.5-2" gap (especially in the rear), do go gangster-squat :P.
2.) Set the alignment for -1.0 front camber, 0 or +1 rear camber, (so that when the car squats on a launch the tyres instead of going massive negative camber and losing contact patch, still has a good sum of contact). Zero toe all around.
3.) Set the tyre pressure to a reasonable amount where you don't spin and you don't bog, (coupled with a proper 2-step RPM for the clutch you're running).
4.) Once you have the corner balance/alignment/tyre pressures taken care of, go ahead and set the dampening at halfway tight all around. Work with what works best for you, ideally you want the rear to squat so leave the rear SLIGHTLY softer than the front. Play with it though to see what works best for YOU.
5.) Once again, play with tyre pressure to optimize '60.
6.) Practice, practice, practice .

Nice 1.7 60-ft.

This just shows how, with a big turbo car, fast shifting plays such a large role in getting a good ET. Get your shifting so fast that it grinds, then slow it down just a tad

on the 2nd run you gained 28mph on the back half which is pretty good, its the 1/8th mph that is soo slow

go back to the track and hit those gears hard
