Mfactory PRO-Series Gearset

The long awaited Mfactory PRO-series gearset will be available to Subaru enthusiasts very soon! We have been working closely with Mfactory to insure fitment, shifting quality and provide our input on product evaluation for mass production. At this point the set has been assembled and ready to drop in and we are excited to beat on these gears

As of now everything looks great, the gear tooth profile is thicker than OEM with Mfactory looking for a power rating of 400+whp. The input shaft is also a 2-piece design.

Gear ratios straight off of Mfactory website
Subaru WRX 5spd:
1st - 3.454 (Straight Cut)
2nd - 1.940 (Straight Cut)
3rd - 1.350 (Semi-Helical)
4th - 0.958 (Semi-Helical)
5th - 0.769 (Semi-Helical) or OEM

We have couple of pictures and will continue to update our process on the gearset, on with the pictures

We need a torque rating not a power rating

I believe that it rated at 400 wtq. We will have to confirm with Mfactory

Why a 2 piece shaft? Any real advantage to a 2 piece as to a single piece?

MFactory states: The reason behind the 2-piece shaft is to help with the shaft flex, because of the super long input shaft

We have the set in Sams car. Haven't had any problems. Still putting miles on them.

PPG uses a two peice shaft on their rally gearset from what I inderstand. This has to say something. What that is, Im not sure...

Do you have any comparison picture of the Mfactory 1&2 straight cuts next to some PPG 1&2 straight cuts? I would love to see some comparison pictures.

IMO it was the long shaft that killed the Kaaz gear sets. Flex and snap! So the split up sounds like a great idea. If you want a test subject let me know.. I will pay for the install. I will have a bit more than 400 hp though. But I have a daily driver I would be glad to donate. I am not daily driving it just yet. Still trying to figure out a few things.

Sorry, I dont have a release date. This was a pre-release set we were sent to assemble and give feedback. We've had the unit in Sams car for some time without issue. I dont have any side by side photos.....Hopefully Mfactory can chime in with any more info.

I've also just received confirmation from Andrewtech that they've given the Green Light on the PRO Series Gears, so we now have a few sets from the same batch as the test set, in stock and ready to ship. All installations for these gear sets must be handled by Andrewtech, as there is no room for error in the installation.

As our Vendor Account does not come into effect until Jan 1st, in the meantime, please contact Andrewtech directly if you are interested in purchasing. I will have Sam update the thread with the relevant pricing.
