IBTL... somebody beat you to the punch on Sept. 29.

Also, that report's from the UK, where the regular WRX is already gone... they've got Impreza, Impreza 2.0 turbodiesel and Impreza WRX STI.

Additionally, the Justy is a re-badged Daihatsu Sirion, which is being replaced by a newer Daihatsu. Whether or not they decide to keep a new version of Justy in the UK, I don't know. I don't think it's been selling well.

^^^ Wow, thanks. I didn't see the thread in the "News & Rumors" forum... I see the SOA blog response. Man, it is nerve racking when you see this kind of thing. You finally buy a car you like, you modify it, you love it, and then everything you read is how it is going to die

Mods, you can remove this thread if you wish.
Thanks guys.

Unhappy Hmm... How disconcerting.

It seems like Subaru has no other choice but to axe it.

I wouldn't worry about Subaru pulling the plug on WRX in the US anytime soon, especially with technology coming in the next 1-5 years (direct injection, diesel, hybrid, possible use of lightweight composites, etc.) that can bump up WRX's fuel economy and improve emissions without taking the fun out of the car. In the meantime, enjoy the sweet Subie you've got.

Read the original thread. The article is from the UK and has little or no relevance to the US.

Yeah then thing we are still missing out on though is all the performance models available in JP/EU.

I would like to have the option to buy a WRX STI Spec-c Type RaR....

Or S203/4/etc etc....

I think the WRX is going away in the UK, but the WRX STi will stay on.

They haven't been as receptive of the base WRX since the bugeye came out. And since gas is so expensive, if you are going for performance, you'll just spend the bit extra on an STi.

and the Justy is just a rebadge, so again, who cares?
