Default When you see someone drinking an O'Douls...what is your first impression ?

What about when you see someone drink 4 of them in an hour ?

Last night the guy I was playing pool against was knocking them back like they were Budweiser's and he was at a Lynrd Skynrd concert...

I just couldn't grasp the idea of drinking so many non-alcoholic beers. I'm sure he was probably a recovering alcoholic or something but damn dude just because it looks like a beer and sort of tastes like a beer does not mean it is a beer...

Not sure what O'Doul's tastes like, but if they are drinking Coors Lite Non-Alcoholic I ask them "How's the Poland Spring?".

Woman: preggers

Man: recovering alcoholic? Depends on whether they're pounding or sipping.

I think the same thing when I see middle aged white trash riding a bike. Alcoholic that got a DUI.

Meanwhile, I question the sobriety of a recovering alcoholic that drinks fake beer. That's just tempting fate.

I look at them as some one who enjoys a beer, but doesn't want to get drunk. Way more respect for them than a coors lite drinker who wants a cold glass and a side of ice.

Well, for me, I don't drink beer for the taste, it's the alcohol in it, and drinking a beer without alcohol is a bit silly. I thought about going that route, but then realized I was silly.

There is a very small percentage of alcohol in O'Douls....but trying to get drunk off non-alcoholic beer is again, silly....and expensive.

That was kind of my thought process. He was drinking them like it was 'helping' him out. It was a tight match and at the end he told the waitress "yeah...I'll take another one, this has been a stressful match." I gave a look on the inside. It's ****ing water...how is that going to help relieve your stress !

If you're under 18 and drinking O'Doul's, then you're pretty cool. Any older than that and you deserve to be asswhipped.

O'Douls is nasty
I drink Clausthaler, St Pauli or Becks NA.
I drink it for the taste and I dont slam them.
Might drink a 6 pack a week.
Been sober for 23yrs now and have no desire to drink anything stronger.

Side of ice ?

As bartender I am sure you see a lot of this. Maybe that was the case...maybe he was just being responsible and did not want to have four beers and then jump in his car and drive home. Either way it was not something I felt comfortable asking him about. I was just curious what people thought when they saw this.

How often do you get people drinking non-alcoholic brew ?

You didn't mean this right? yes. All people drinking beer are getting drunk. They may not get there, but its a start.

And yes, I like beer. I like the taste of it. If there were a good NA out there I would drink it.

my wife likes the taste of beer. She never has more than one, but hates liquor and all but a few select white wines
