Default Agency power or Blitz short ram on 09 wrx.. anyone?

Anyone have either of these short ram intakes??

I am going to be having the 09 protuned... so I figured why not tune for this if I will see a decent power gain.

Anyone have any suggestions as to which is better, or running either with a protune?

As far as maxing the fuel out.. i spoke with perrin in the thread below, and they said on an 09 wrx with catted dp + intake + protune, you will not max fuel out..

From what I have read and heard (specifically for the 09's), there is no better option than stock for up to Stage II.

^ I would have to agree with you. From what I've seen with the stock turbo your better off dropping in a better filter and using the stock airbox.

Im stage1 and my map includes a K&N panel filter. I couldn't be happier. Any short ram is going to be sucking in hot engine bay air when you're stopped. I agree with others, stick to stock and not a short ram. If you really want an intake and you're not worried about water ingestion, then go with a quality CAI.

Yeah I don't want a cai.. looks like stock airbox... now the decision k&n drop in, perrin filter, or stock..

Ask your tuner, NOT us. NO ONE in the world knows which intake is better than any other in terms of brand vs. brand, so any responses here will lead you in the wrong direction.

Agree. Their products are decent quality but they "borrow" others designs and get them made overseas for cheaper labor. Bad for our community and economy.

That is an over-generalization. I have seen a good number of reviews of sub-par quality, even at the cheap price (not to mention story after story of non-existent customer service). One of the local guys new to Subies just had to file a credit card dispute with them over some parts issues.

Agency Power is Vivid Racing

Vivid Racing was a vendor here who got BANNED for, among other things, RIPPING people off and being ********.

Anyone who buys from Vivid or any agency power parts is supporting those people who got the boot from this forum and have all sorts of REAL problems with them.
