04-05 Tail lights vs 06-07 Tail lights

Well i know the difference and from my understanding its a plug and play set up. But right now i have some smoked 04 tails on my 04 Silver STi, i was thinking about going to 06-07 ones just because there isnt so much red on them. I was wondering what other peoples opinions were of this, also its hard to find pictures since the silver on the 06-07's is a bit different then on my 04. So can anyone with a silver STi, preferably PSM, post up pictures of your tail lights so i can have a good idea? No smoked ones please because i already have that on my car.

You shouldn't have any trouble finding someone willing to swap tail lights with you, 04-05 tails are in high demand.

I have 05's on the car now, and 06' on the shelf for when I'm in the mood to rice it up a bit.
Imho, snag some cheap 06' or 07' tails off the classifieds. Cost is low, because they're not as popular as the 05', and if you don't like them, go with full red, or tint. Tinted 06' tails look awesome on a silver STi. I have no pics, only memories.

+1 on buying a set. 04/05's are in higher demand. Keep them....or sell them after buying the 06/07's.

I will trade tails with you assuming you used removable film to smoke your tails.

Also note that 06 and 07 tails differ slightly between the two years. The 06 tails are like a matte silver color on the bottom whereas the 07 are chrome. They both look like deuce to me though.

i traded a guy for my stock 04 tail lights for his 07 tail lights and they fit perfect! look great to on my silver wrx

Yea, I like the 04 lights and i might be taking a chance, I was kind of hoping for pictures to help me decide, I just know that I don't want to have the dark lights I have now and the 04/05 lights are very red so I'm not really certain, I have seen the 04 lights with the tinted reverse lights and I do like those. Pics would definitely help

I have an 04 Sti (PSM) with the 06 tail lights, and I think they look great. I'll see if I can find a pic to post up for you...

I'm at my in-law's house and the only pic of my car on their computer is this one. It will give you at least a general idea of what it looks like. This is from my honeymoon two years ago... lol... I will try to upload some more this weekend if you need a few more angles, etc...

I hated the look of my car with the 07's on my car. I now have the 05's back and I'm quite happy.

Oh: I guess I had the 06's

Yeah, the 07's have a chrome insert, while the 06's have more of a graphite gray color. I really don't care for the 07 rears myself.

I had the ones without the chrome, so I guess I had the 06's
