Default help! new subie owner doesnt know rear ends???

hello everybody,

I'm a rookie here @ NASIOC and i own a 95 subaru impreza wagon 1.8 L AWD 5 speed and i want LSD and i dont know what kind? i head from a datsun friend of mine to get a fuji heavy industries ltd. 3.7 rear end. is that right?

3.7? sounds unlikely

most AWD 5MT of that era were 3.9 iirc - AT were usually 4.11

try searching 'final drive' on rs25.com or if you know your actual trans code you may be able to look it up here:
