Default College crazy? Zombies vs Humans

C/N: People wear bandanas on either their head, or arm... Head represents human, arm represents zombie. The game last for a week or so until everyone is either tagged by a zombie, or the zombies die from starvation (not tagging a human within a 24 hour period of time). Zombies are out for 15 minutes after being hit with a nerf shot, or sock.

I'll post the official garble from the event that was sent to me below.

I can't decide if this is a great idea, or one of the worst that I've ever seen.
In any scenario, recommend me a good nerf gun for ~$20 I'll just shoot random people wearing bandannas for the next couple weeks

You can also youtube videos for some mind-numbing examples of the "game". I didn't find any of quality that were worth posting.

What does OT think of this?

The Rules of the Game.

Each player needs to have a bandana visible on their body so we know who's playing the game. The Humans start off with the Bandana around their head. Once infected, move the bandana to your right arm.

Infection: Zombies have to eat (tag) a human. They must “eat” a human every 24 hours or they will die. There is no limit to how many Humans Zombies can turn a day. Humans can protect themselves two different ways: 1) By shooting nerf guns at the Zombies or 2) By Throwing Socks at them. This takes the Zombie's out of the game for 15 minutes
Again, a Zombie dies when they do not eat a Human in a 24 hour period. Dead Zombies, take off your bandana.

There are few SAFEZONES 1) Dormrooms. (dorm hallways are open territory) 2) The Dining Halls 3) Academic Buildings (Library, Lecture Halls, etc).
The buses, football/ sporting events, marching band/ color guard/ sports team practices, and the gym are off limits as well. Basically, you need to either be outside roaming around campus or in the hallways of a dorm....bathrooms are still fair game, but not when showering of course.

The game should last days, even weeks.

The game ends when all the Zombies are dead or all the humans are turned into zombies.

I'm in. The best nerf guns are little one shot guns that you **** with a top slide. Others are just too complicated and jam up all the time.

You can carry 4 of the little ones cocked and ready to use, and they reload in a second.

IOWA CITY, Iowa -- Iowa City police are investigating an early morning assault in which a man accused another of being a zombie, then punched him twice.

Police say the assault occurred at 1:17 a.m. Sunday at an Iowa City restaurant south of the University of Iowa campus.

A man was ordering food when he was approached by another man who called him a zombie, then hit him in the eye. When the victim tried to call police on his cell phone, the man punched him again, breaking his nose.

The man then ran out a back door.

The victim was taken by ambulance to a hospital.

Alternatively, humans are also out of the game if they get shot and killed by a Crip.

This is what I've been considering so far...

6 round slide shooter + 6x refill (36 darts). Total 42 shots.
Small enough to throw in the backpack for class, inconspicuous enough to not stand out (hopefully).

This: $10.68 + free 2 day shipping

Okay, the double-shot that has to be the coolest nerf gun ever created. I can't believe I haven't seen one of those before now!

Don't get suction cup darts. They don't fly as well as the rubber tipped microdarts.

this also seems like the kind of game the track/cross country team could really dominate at.

that was played at my college. pretty fun. although any type of gun (even nerf) was deemed to be not allowed so humans carried 1 (one) balled up sock to throw. also, our zombies didnt die (theyre already dead yo!). so the game just reset wednesday. nobody wants to play on monday anyway, and its too hard to stay alive till the weekend if it starts too early in the week.

a large group of kids comes into the building ... "umm... hi yall whats up?"

we're looking for humans!!!!:lulz:

The kids do this at the college where I work.

They freaked out a visiting parrent three years ago, who called the campus police, and the game was banned for two years.

If you do do this on a campus, be sure to either let your campus police know, or be low enough under the radar to not get caught. Ever since 9-11 police departments have no sence of humor at all (if they had one before then).

Used to play a variation of this game in the frat I was in. It was called Assasins, instead of humans and zombies there were targets you were assigned to kill. When you killed someone you would take their target and whoever was the last man standing was teh winnar. Super soakers were legit weapons for this variation as well.

I remember playing Assassins for a week or so back in college. I had one of the spring loaded nerf guns, which I modified with about 20 rubber bands, giving it four times it's original range and velocity.
