Default Boost gauge bouncing?

I recently noticed my boost needle bounces between .05 and .1 mpa when I'm in 3rd gear pedal to the floor, but when I get into 4th with the pedal to the floor the needle stays near .08 mpa without bouncing. Does anyone know what could be causing this symptom? The car is stock as well.

Did you remove the pill from the line when installing the gauge?

^those...
if those aren't the case you may need to adjust your WG actuator arm (you shouldn't since im guessing you haven't messed around with that before).
i had this problem for a long time, i ended up having to switch to a new bcs but this may/probably isnt the case with yours.

(The restrictor pill is located in the turbine vac line, so if you didn't touch these vac lines it wont be the pill obviously).

I'll buy some maf cleaner today and spray it down.

The gauge was factory installed which is why I posted those stupid mpa units. hahaha
I haven't done anything to the turbo so I'm not sure if adjusting the wastegate arm will do anything, but how would I go about adjusting the arm?

check all your vac lines for signs of leak or brittle spots.
