Default Cylinder 2 wall is toast.

what causes this? and what do i need to do to fix it?

took off a head and the cylinder wall was all messed up

I would think if you knew how to take off your cylinder head you'd know how to fix it....

Lets see some pictures.

If the wall is cracked, then you might as well scrap the block. If its just scratched, a re-honing might be all you need. Deep scratching might be fixable with boring.

You might also just be better off getting an EJ25 block. Depends on your budget, goals, etc.
