Exclamation 15lbs spring in wastegate, but gauge reads 30psi+ *help*

Ok,
so I got myself a little bit of a problem.
I am currently running a gt3071r with an external 38mm tial wastegate.

The spring in the wastegate is 15lbs. Not currently running a boost controller. So 15psi should be my max boost. When I drive the car now, for some reason when I give it WOT or any boost really, it goes way past 15 and goes past 30psi.

It seems that the turbo will start to boost, then fly to max boost on my autometer gauge. Checked the vacuum line from
the wastegate to TB and it is in perfect condition. So I donnowhat what's going on. Inning a 2 bar map sensor too. So WTF...??!!

Has anyone run into a similar problem before?

hook a line from the compressor housing to the bottom port of the wastegate.

and if you have a gauge and only want to run 15 psi, let off the gas before you get all the way to 30.

Yes, be sure your hose goes from the turbo compressor outlet directly to the wastegate actuator as a test. You should not get more than 15 psi boost with a 15 psi spring.

I have a new motor. Built it myself.
Fixed the problem. Boosting normally now.

Turned out to be stupid. Had the vacuum line on the wrong output on the wastegate. Stupid mistake.

Thanks for all the help though guys.
