Hey Guys,
As you may have read before, my one buddy gave me his old speakers - a pair of Kenwood KFC-X1710P components and Memphis 15 Pro 50's (5.25s). Now my buddy who is moving out West had a box of speakers, I don't think they are too good but I have heard Phoenix Gold isn't bad. Anyway, here's what I've got: Phoenix Gold ZR5.0 Octane R's 5.25"s I think Fusion FPC-65 6.5" 2 Way Components - says 240 Watts Fusion FPC-4 4" 2 Way Components - says 150 Watts Eclipse 8253's 5.25"s The Phoenix Gold's look pretty solid, the others not so much. Out of those choices, what would you guys recommend putting into my 02 WRX Sedan on my JL 300/4? I'm going to give the rest away, let me know if you guys want em. Thanks, Mike

I'd go with the fusions but see how they both sound Last edited by hookedontronics; 11-01-2009 at 09:02 PM. |

If those are the eclipse point source coaxials they are really nice sounding speakers. But they are lacking below 100hz.
What else is in your system? |

I have 2 12" W3's and a JL 500.1 but I don't really want to have that much size/weight in the trunk anymore. My buddy is going to give me his 10" JL W6 but the outer cone is messed up so I need to look into having it fixed... Yeah I'm in between the Phoenix Gold and the Memphi's for the rears.
I don't think the 4" Fusions will work in the WRX - no where to put em. For the front, I'm leaning towards the Kenwoods. They seem much better than the Fusions... What do you all think of that idea? -Mike |

I've been running Kenwood KFC-Xr61p in the front doors for 6 years now and have been very happy with them.
If they fit, I think you will like the newer flavor too. |

Well I think this is the new plan, I'm going to sell all of these and buy a set of Focal 165KR's for the front and not run rears for now.
I also have two JL 12" W3's that I'm going to sell and replace with either the 10" W6 or I can buy a 10" W7... Think that will be a good combo for me? -Mike |

ive herd most of the audio guru's on here say to ditch the back speakers all together. let me know what you decide, and hit me up with a set of components for the fronts. i have to get rid of these ****ty RF's.
