A buddy of mine from high school was performing at the event so I figured why not. 80% of the music was amazing, with the 20% just not my type as it was Celtic stuff that makes me want to commit suicide. Did meet a Subaru dork there that drove down from Canada though.

So Jeff just goes through life with those vampire finger nails? On one hand? That would look weird....

How many times did you have to hear Michael Hedges' "Because It's There?"
I actually think the oddest concerts at the Chapman Stick gatherings around the NAMM show. |

Dork? I've been called many things, geek, piston head, slow, half fast, dufuss however, I do not ever remember being called a dork.
But hey, as the old saying goes; "It takes one to know one". So, I will take it as a complement and consider myself in good company. It was nice meeting a fellow dork, wished we'd had more time to chat. As to the music, it covered every genre one could imagine, and a couple one could not. From an absolutely fabulous instrumental rendition of Queen's "Bohemian Rhapsody" to an interpretation of a crazy Japanese Kabuki dancer, the Who's "Boris the Spider" to "Amazing Grace". I'm sure you get the picture. There were many people who so enjoyed themselves on Saturday night that they returned to see Sunday afternoon's concert. Its hard to believe but there is more to life than fuel maps and body kits. Take a tip from Unabomber and drive your Subaru to some new event and expand your knowledge. |

That was kind of interesting.
I played guitar with a harpist and a cellist before in a small cafe. We played some classical stuff and then Sweet Child of Mine and Teardrop, which sounded pretty cool with the harp. |
