Default Would any of you like to help me out?

My daughter has a project for school in collecting holiday traditions from all over the world. Below is the information I received in an email excluding the email addresses of the teachers. If you would like to do this and help my daughter and me out, shoot me a pm with your email address and I will forward you a copy of the email. Thanks in advance to all that would like to help.

The Holiday Tradition’s Race Across America

Sponsored by: Second grade teachers and students
The object of the race is to visit as many states as possible, via email, asking people what family traditions they remember. Bonus points will be given to teams who reach people outside the US as well. Road blocks will be set up along the way. When a team comes to a road block, one member from that team must participate in an activity of mental strength. The team with the fewest emails may be eliminated at the end of 2 weeks. At the end of 8 weeks, the team with the most emails will be the winner.
Please email your most memorable or favorite holiday tradition to one of the email addresses listed above. Don’t forget to tell us where you reside (city and state), so that we may mark our map accordingly. Please forward this email to friends and family who live in other states and beyond so that we may complete our race with as many different locations as possible. Remind them to respond to your child’s class email address so that their class will receive the points for our Holiday Race. Thank you in advance for all of your help.
(If you receive this email, please continue to forward it on so that our chances of reaching every state are possible.)

Why don't you set up a temporary email address that people can send directly to? You might get some nonsense replies, but you'll also get some real ones maybe and you can use those.

You come to the forum and treat people like children, you won't even give out the email address, they have to PM you to get it... while you ask for help. You're surprised the response isn't wholehearted good nature?

The reason I am not giving out the email address is because it is my daughters teachers email address. I do not want to give cause for her to receive a bunch of spam. I understand that some people on here are good hearted people but there are some that are not. I do not want to bring her into that type issue. Surprised about the replies "No" a lot of these guys are big on having fun and kidding around and i am cool with that. I have had one taker though, and if I get a few more it is well worth the hustle.

The hassle.

And your attitude that the forum is populated with a bunch of jerkasses... while possibly accurate... also shined through in your posts. You've only made three threads in OT now, ever, and they were all asking for something.

You're a taker, and you think we're bastards. I'm sorry, but that ends up hurting your responses.

Growing up, we use to open our presents on Christmas Eve.

Then, we'd eat chili. And then, we'd drink. Drink eggnog and rum. My Dad never knew I was drinking rum though. He was always drunk. You know how when most families go camping, and the Dad starts drinking before he sets up the tent... that was my Dad. He would also drink in the morning before he would start the fire.

Hope this helps.

LOL I love that you took the time to see how many posts I have made in the OT forum, and come to think of it I think I have only posted in here wanting something. But is that not what the forum is for to obtain information that we would normally never come across in our life time. Or to participate in an event that we never knew existed?

my family celebrates chistmass on January 7th, and we don't usually eat chilli that day.

edit, let's hijack this thread and post about different christmass traditions, but it's waaaaaaaay too early for that now.
