Default wow. just wow.

4:30 yesturday afternoon I was called by our Director of Sales to meet with me at 9AM today. I knew they are letting people go, I was one of 3 in this area to be let go today, 1 was released 2 weeks ago.

Do my exit interview. 2 hours later I was asked to come back

What a crazy emotional roller coaster.

True story.

My company gives a severance if you are laided off. They also help you find work internally to the company. If you are hired on again before the severance ends you have to pay the remainder back

Um, just answered some questions she had and asked some of my own. I told her I am better then others staying, understand whats going on but that they are making a mistake letting me go. Told her I brought on my own accounts (1/2 million $ route in 9 months) nothing handed to me and if they are going to steal my accounts from me at least waive the non compete I signed. Not fair to take these accounts I brought in but don't prevent me from doing what I want to do if it's with another company.

I went on and on, she went on and on both mutually agreeing with one another. Feel very relaxed around her and always have, I told her like it is.

Those fools realized they made a mistake. My DM and I didn't see eye to eye and no doubt he threw me under the bus. He's jumping ship and I had a pleasant 60 min convo with her.

I guess I would go back only until I found another jerb. Scary to be fired and asked back unless they can convince you it was really a mistake.

I am in sales. I need to do the convincing. Only way to do that is to put up numbers, get new accounts.

They are going through MAJOR cuts and it's a numbers thing, they need to get rid of X amount of people. I still recieve a salary so on the balance sheet I am a liability not an asset yet. First in first out type thing.... others they let go had 3 and 4 years experience. I was on the street for 9 months.
