Default Best street sign ever.

I pass this on my commute every day.

NEW BRUNSWICK — Motorists traveling on Route 18 may have noticed something missing on speed limit signs.

The speed limit which motorists may travel in the north and south bound lanes of Route 18 is not posted on signs — the signs are blank.

The signs are part of the Route 18 reconstruction project, said Tim Greeley with the state Department of Transportation.

"In a project such as this, when we are basically redesigning an entire roadway, it's not an uncommon thing for speed limit signs to be posted and a couple of weeks to a month later have the actual speed limit filled in," Greeley said.

The blank speed limit signs were installed by the contractor last month, he said.

"Our traffic engineering unit has been in the process of evaluating the roadway to determine and set the speed limit for the local lanes as well as the express lanes in the area," Greeley said. "Once approved, the official speed limit will be placed on the blank signs, which will be done by the end of the week."

Greeley said 50 mph will be the speed limit for the local lanes, but was unsure what speed limit will be posted for the express lanes.

The newly reconstructed highway has express lanes through the city which are separate from local lanes from George Street, near the Rutgers' Douglass Campus, to just past the exits for Route 27/Albany Street.

Cop: Well, its right.... Okay Mr HP, do I smell weed?
Me:. That didn't go as I intended.
Cop: It never does. Now kiss my nightstick.

Buy some black vinyl and then go out at night and put 65 on one and 35 on the next, alternating back and forth the whole way.

I took that exit every weekday for 3 years. I lived in apartments in Troy where that exit is off I-75 and commuted downtown every day.

F 8 mile...16 mile is the real hood.

There is a sign along my running route that reads "No Parking In Center Of Road." Granted, it's at the end of a dead end, but I still find it amusing. I live at the end of a dead end street in the same town, and we have no such signage.
