Default This guy messed with the wrong car and wrong driver. *High-speed chase*

Cliff Notes: Parked car at restaurant. Went inside to eat, 2 way alarm goes off. Run outside to see a truck fleeing the scene. I give chase. Catch up to him. Call police. Police and I chase him. He gets arrested. Now I don't have to pay a deductible. Everyone goes home safe and another drunk driver is off the road.

So, it began as an awesome night. Assignments done, had a nice dinner with my family and grandparents. Headed to the gym. Had a great work out. Had some fun with the cars for a bit. Filled up gas, drove to Silver Tower in Richmond to eat. I parked across the street in the empty parking a lot with like 5 cars in a lot meant to hold like 50. Walk inside the restaurant. Sit down with the boys, order food, chill and talk. This is where it gets interesting...

While talking. Keys on the table start vibrating. Compustar is paging me telling me my shock sensor went off. Look over to the car, doesn't look like anything. 2 seconds later, Compustar is telling me my alarm went off. THAT NEVER HAPPENS. Look out the window to see a truck around my car. I run outside the restaurant to see a blue Ford pick-up truck with dark rims and lifted leaving the parking lot. Outside the restaurant door, 3 guys standing outside saw the anxious expression on my face while my keys were ringing and asked me if that was my car. I said yes. They said dude, that guy just hit your car. I'm like WTF? And they said YEAH!! He hit it hard, we heard it!

So I run across the street and almost get hit by a car. That was scary. I looked at my car and it was ****ED. I saw him heading down Alexandra pretty fast and thats when I was like **** this ****. I got in my car and just ripped it out of the lot. 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th gear probably going 180km/h down Alexandra. I turned right onto Hazelbridge and see him WAYYYYY down the street. He's like at Arberdeen Mall already. Obviously ripping it. I blast down there as fast as I felt comfortable with. I eventually catch him at a light. He sees me behind him and he notices. He gets uncomfortable and tries to run away from me. I call 911 now and get police on the line in like 15 seconds. I give them a quick run down, plate info, make and model and location and direction. This whole time we are blasting stop signs, red lights and going SUPER fast. But I was always behind him. I didn't even have to use 1/4 throttle to keep up with his slow piece of ****. The whole time the lady on the phone told me to slow down as she heard my engine being really loud. I said I wasn't going to stop until I saw the police arrive.

Knowing that turns don't work on me and driving fast doesn't work, he starts going into parking complexes with huge speed bumps so I won't be able to follow him. Being the smart guy I am, I wait outside and don't enter. He stays inside and I bust a quick e-brake u-turn in case he makes a run for it. He gets out of his car and knocks on this restaurant door trying to get some guys to come out. 2 guys come out. I'm like **** this guy is HUGE, ripped and etc. I notice he has a female passenger along with him. I guess he thinks I won't **** with him anymore so he gets back into his car and proceeds to leave. At this point I see 2 police cruisers coming up on Garden City Road. They follow him asap with lights on and I ran a red light trying to keep up. Coming the opposite way on Capstan Way is a police cruiser WITH it's lights on. He blasts by the cop at like 100 km/h outside Richmond Sushi. Eventually he stops to the side and police get him out of the car. He gets arrested. Found to be drunk and his hooker/gf/slutty bitch in the passenger seat is let go.

Friend at the restraunt gives me the phone number and name of one guy outside the restaurant who is friends with the other 2 guys with that guy at the time. Police officer confirms witness information, I let my friends know where I am, they show up. The idiots truck is towed, I have to write a long ass statement. Got questioned by police officers and got a police file #. So now I am here at home waiting for ICBC and the police officer to call me back.

What a long night. I didn't even get to eat my food.

Lesson is, don't hit and run from a car that has a 2-way paging alarm, 600+HP, 4WD, 265 tires all around and a driver that Auto-X's and Tracks frequently.

Btw, it was the most epic driving I've ever done in my life. Speeding at like 3x the legal limit along side with police cars was intense. At the end, an officer came up to me and said I did a good job with what I did. Following him, calling the police, let them do their work and fall back and good that I didn't get out of the car to confront him. Pretty sure he knew I was bombing it down the streets of Richmond with him with my EWG's open at 29psi just a few feet away.

I talked to my friends after and they told me people standing on the street and outside the restaurant were pretty astonished. Wheels spinning, EWG's open, back-fires on shifts. Adrenaline was pumping for sure but thinking back now, it was pretty dangerous...

And the damage is worse than it looks. Rad support is actually bent.

Like, the kind of damage that would have occurred after slamming into a minivan full of kids at 100mph after you blew through a stopsign? That kind of damage?

Yeah, what if you crashed running all those red lights and stop signs. Think you're justified in hurting or possibly killing someone after you already got the guy's plate and description?

It's just a ****ing japanese economy car.
