I'm noticing a bit of oily moisture on the passenger side of my rear diff. The driver side is dry and dusty.
I'm assuming the only possibility is the oil seal where the axle goes in right? I like to tell the service dept exactly what needs to be done when I bring it in for warranty work so I'm in and out ASAP. Thanks.

. The car is brand new, I'm pretty sure it is a 'failure'.How bad is doing this job? The seal is $6 so I might just do it myself so I have no down time when bringing it to the dealer. Is it just a pull the inner joint out of the diff, pull out the old seal with a pick, lube the new one and squarely drive it in? Last edited by 09rexwagon; 11-20-2009 at 02:57 PM. |
