Hug your family. Now. Go.

Default What's the nicest airport you've ever been to?

First time connecting thru Charlotte in 10+ years. Has to be the nicest airport I've ever seen.

Open, clean, layed out in an intelligible fashion.

E-terminal in DFW however.... And I thought Texas had the market cornered on hot GRITS. All I've seen is GRINS.

are you ****ing kidding me? Charlotte can lick my sweaty nutsack. The only nice airports in this country are the small ones. Manchester, NH and Austin, TX are 2 that I like.

dallas' airport seemed nice, but i was blasting through there to catch a connecting flight. *shrug*

i've always liked denver's airport. hearing the "jingle" on the underground train makes me happy and reminds me i'm in the rockies ^_^.

montgomery, alamaba's airport was amusing, primarily because it's so tiny. i was amused at how planes could even fit on the tarmac.

i actually really like the new national airport (you call it reagan national). it's really nice.

i can tell you the worst, though. detroit. no contest. i thought i was going to get shot. also, boise's airport... although i admit i hate it because of the crosswinds we hit while landing there. felt like we were going to flip over.

Best would by the Florence airport in Italy based solely on the fact that there were a bunch of hot Italian women there.

Best domestic would have to be Orlando based on the fact that it's pretty easy to navigate, clean, and full of hot chicks on vacation.
Worst was Detroit, hands down.

For the huge ones I'll go with Denver. The mid sized I'll go with Savannah GA (probably the nicest). For small there is one in Evansville IN 2 gates, you can show up 15 minutes before takeoff and be on time.

Detroit isn't bad if you are in the new Northwest/Delta or international terminals. The rest of it is a pit though.

I guess I just dislike all large, high-throughput, hub airports. They tend to make me walk a lot to get to my connections, have off-site car rental facilities (which i absolutely despise), long lines, and generally make my travel slower and less enjoyable (charlotte is guilty of all of these). Charlotte is a good-looking airport, and it's clean and relatively simple to navigate. I guess I don't hate it MORE than I hate the average large airport, so I will at least give you that

Also, orlando airport sucks donkey balls, and if you like it, I don't know what to tell you. But it won't be very complimentary to your intelligence.

Of the first tier U.S. airports, Detroit. Of the smaller ones, Quad Cities Airport.

Wow, just saw that A9 ranked Detroit as the worst. I find it easy to navigate and very clean. But then I guess my benchmark would be Newark Airport.

Surprisingly, amazingly, Tampa is pretty awesome - it was like a huge mall that just happened to have an airport wing. I found it far more enjoyable than Dulles, Charlotte, Atlanta, Detroit, DFW, Philly, or any number of domestic or Asian airports.

MHT is a nice little airport. Im a little biased to the A pier of BWI. The 30+ floor to ceiling windows make it a very bright and happy place to work in.

Copenhagen, Denmark.

Amazing women and all hardwood floors throughout the airport.

I do remember Orlando being a nice clean airport.

Tomorrow my favorite airport will be the one in St. Maarten when I land

MHT is nice and tiny and new...reminds me of the A wing at BWI. When my parents lived in Baltimore, flying from MHT to BWI was always a pleasant experience...

Manchester, NH and Reno, NV both seem like nice airports.

In Reno, even with alot of construction at the airport, things were still pretty clean and they seemed to be running the airport quite efficiently.

Not sure I've ever been to an airport I thought was really nice.

Chihuahua, Chihuahua, Mexico is convenient... only 2 gates. You can be off the plane and at your car in <5 mins easily.

Atlanta smells like a butt.

Dulles is "nice" on the inside, but it takes ****ing forever to get anywhere.

Related note: Anyone standing left on an escalator or moving sidewalk should be killed.

atlanta's airport i a love-hate for me. it's a ****hole and i hate it. BUT it's one of the world's busiest airports (i think #1 in the entire world for passenger airports recently, although i dunno about this year), and the little shuttle thing means that you can get from one end of the airport to the other with little effort, very fast. For the size and capacity, it's a very simple and easy airport to get around. And unlike most airports, you don't usually have to run 3 miles just to GET to the shuttle thing.

I was there ~7 years ago, and it was incredibly dirty... overflowing garbage cans, floors littered with taco bell wrappers. Maybe it's better now.
