Cyclists are stupid. At least around here, there will be a bike lane and they will be riding 4 wide in the street.

Now mountain bikers... there's a way better crowd.

Yeah, it's all about where you ride 'em I guess. I just don't like when people pick stupid roads to ride their road bikes on. There is a raised highway going between two rural roads in my area with a speed limit of 55mph and no shoulder. Talk about a death wish but I see people doing it all the time. I just don't like how they feel so invincible just because we are "supposed" to avoid them. Drunks don't follow the rules, if you're riding in the woods or on a trail somewhere you're not very likely to be clipped by the metro bus...

Different strokes for different folks, I guess... I enjoy getting away from the asphalt jungle when I ride as well plus the terrain is a lot more interesting to me.

I agree with you entirely.
Unfortunately, often the mountain is not as accessible as the road. Still, I prefer riding on the paved trails to busy roads.

No, you should hope someone does, and the final dare, "and pull the trigger".

While riding in a convertible with two friends, the one in the passenger seat (I'm in the back) takes a $20 out of his pocket, says to us with a straight face "this will make somebody very happy," and lets it go in the wind.

Driver and I made him pay for lunch after that...

Oh, and it was one of these:
