Default Does 2010 sti shifter linkage fits a pre 2008 car?

Hi,

I'm doing a 6 speed swap in my Gc and I would like to know if I can use a 2010 sti shifter linkage. I heard the shifter would de a little farther back but I would like to have a more precise explanation. In other words, has anybody done it???

thanks

Pascal

the 6 speed shifters, for the most part, are all the same. you should be good to go.
