Anybody playing? This game has been running since about 1999 in multiple versions and with one of the most dedicated player bases I have ever seen. I just recently went on their forums and recognized almost half of the user-names from 10 years ago. Originally it was Warbirds and only switched to the Aces High name a few years ago. I used to play under the tag thzone but will be re-upping as Terror as soon as my new joystick gets here tomorrow or Monday. I've always flown Luftwaffe airframes exclusively with a particular bias towards the FW-190. The graphics aren't amazing compared to the most current platforms, but the gameplay is great. The airframe models are very true to life as is performance. For any WWII air combat fans, I highly recommend giving it a try, the game is free to download and the only thing requiring payment is online play. You can fly offline as much as you like and get used to your preferred airframes before spending a dime. They have monthly scenario battles in which classic battles of WWII are modeled. Progressive battles also happen sometimes over a longer period of time. Both sides will start off with early war aircraft and have new airframes introduced as time goes on. I used to spend hours searching for the perfect bounce.

Ugh. Was anyone else thinking that this might have been about a follow up tune to Iron Maiden's masterpiece?

We've barely broken the 50k member number in replies so far. Note to self, make more Iron Maiden related threads. If a mod could change the title to include "flight simulator" it might help these poor misguided schmucks out.

There goes the siren that warns off the air raid.
Then comes the sound of the guns sending flak. |
