So yeah, I'll be there - at least for a little while.
Great - now I have to wash the thing, huh??
Yes, you're one of the 2 that I know. The other one went on vacation. I asked him what was more important, Subaru meet or vacation..... he's not coming....he doesn't have his priorities straight, obviously!

Ya' know if you had your wife bring the Rex wagon to the meet, that would be a GREAT (and romantic) way to spend your anniversary. We'll even serenade you two....uh...maybe not...

See you there!

Thanks to everyone who showed up. We had a good time. For those that couldn't make it, hopefully we'll see you next time.

Guys, I'll make a thread for next Saturdays meet - we'll have to find a new place. I've got a couple in mind that are in this same area.

thanks again!

This guy in the Blue STi said he liked his car ok...

This guy in the SVX just happend to be driving by. He owns a Subaru shop and I guess they are getting into the aftermarket stuff soon. It's called Alfas/Subarus in Sacramento. He's currently working on Brett's salvaged WRB sedan that he was auto-x-ing at Cal-Expo that one day...you know that crazy blue wrx bashing all the cones...

continued...

Scott from S-Squared in the hizzzi!

This STi was brand new from Reno. Must have came with the rest of the Reno boys. Glad you guys made the trek.

Well that's all I had in my camera guys. Hope to have this great of a turn out next time. I think there was like 20 to 25 cars. Pretty nice.

I had to miss this meet, looks like I missed a good one, but why didn't this place work out?

Just way too crowded and busy. Turnout was awesome though- I'd say about 35 cars?

Yeah, Natomas Marketplace is a cluster@#$! on weekends. There are some new place right up the street that is less complicated to get into and not busy...at least yet. Next time we should meet somewhere where we can get a group picture in first before doing anything else.

Also next time we should try to do something like go for a cruise. If we start meeting on a more regular basis, they'll only be so many times we can huddle around cars to see what everyone's got.

What about reserving some space at a park and having a BBQ...errr...I guess we can do that at S^2, eh?

OK, now I'm just ramblin'

Man, now I'm really sorry I missed it.

OT - Isn't it nice to be able to have both message boards open in two separate windows simultaneously?

Alright, alright!
I just didn't want to seem overly enthusiastic about having such a cool car in front of all the non-sti rex's!
heh, heh!

JUST KIDDING!!! -
actually there was a great turnout of some really awesome cars - cool to check over and chat about the mods you guys made! Informative and Inspiring!!

My tepid response was really because the STi has little things that keep it from being great - the main one being the detonation issue, which mine suffers from. To be expected from a first round car, yeah, but still.
So if I can re-answer, it's really a fuuunnn car to drive, and I do like it!
(But the det sucks!)

Looking forward to the next meet!

Now that's the answer I was expecting!!!!

Sorry to here about the "Detonation", that must suck. What does the dealer say about that? I wonder if you ran half a tank of higher octane gas through the system what would happen then? Would it go away but then just come back with regular super...

Well your car looks great and I hope to ride in one someday. Glad you took my coment with a grain of salt. Just a little about your responce, but now I know.

Lowball

P.S. I like your Lic. Plate!

It was great to meet all you guys. I know us Reno folk had a blast meeting everyone and driving back and forth. And yes, the In and Out was awsome like always.

I have a few pics I will load up later today.
