Default Turbo timer w/factory alarm

Does anyone know if the blitz turbo timer works in conjunction with the upgraded alarm from subaru or does it cause it to go off.

Thanks

-David

Does this also go for enabling the factory keyless entry (not security system) to work w/ a timer?

Default Yes

I believe it works for the keyless entry setup as well. You probably have one less wire to cut.

If you are interested, I have an HKS Turbo Timer (with the WRX harness) for sale (new, never installed) in the Private 'For Sale' Classifieds. You can click on this link WRX Goodies for Sale for more information.

I'm not sure if this will work on the Blitz timer but since they use the same HKS wiring harness it's worth a shot.

HKS type-1 install

The blitz doesn't tap into ECU wires as the HKS does. Follow the instructions for the blitz on the link I posted above, follow those instructions if you're getting an HKS

Default security dash light?

I already posted this elsewhere, but this looks like a good thread to place it in too...

My dash light for the security system is flashing two flashes constantly whether the car is on or off. it has never done it before and i've had my HKS type-0 timer installed for at least two weeks now.

what caused this and how can i fix it?

Default What about an Apex Auto?

I've been reading the posts that deal with the HKS wiring harness. I'm using this harness in conjunction with my APEXi Auto Timer. The upgraded security system doesn't work when the timer is on. Do I use the sames steps suggested above, or can I not correct the problem?

My wife has a 03 Forester XS and her security LED has done that since we picked it up from the dealer new w/ 7 miles on it. I am not sure if this helps or not, but it did take a couple of days before I noticed it blinking after parking it in the dark garage.
BTW-all we have on it is the standard keyless entry.

Sounds like you're in valet mode. Open the drivers door and press and hold the unlock button for two seconds. The security light should now flash a single time every few seconds.

Default STI alarm with TT

Let me just say that I HAVE searched for this, and yes, I know that I DONT NEED a turbo timer in the STI. So no need to attack me on these points.

I was wondering if anyone with a turbo timer currently installed in their STI has a functioning security system. I have the Apexi turbo timer and although I can lock the doors, I cannot arm the security system.

Things I've tried:
cut the dark green/black wire from the keyless entry box (above fuse)
cut the dark green/black wire from the security box (behind glove box)
screaming at it

Still no alarm

Any help would be greatly appreciated

-Chris

06 with same question - which wire behind the glove box? I have found something labeled shock sensor - i have seen pictures of the box labeled subaru security that resides under the ebrake cover - this doesn't appear the same. Does anyone know which box/ location relative to dash/ which wire actually allows proper alarm function for the 06 STi ? Thanks -

I have an Apexi turbo timer with the HKS harness in my 05 STi, the shop that installed it for me told me I couldn't arm the car while the timer was counting down. Tried to once just to see, and they were right. The stock Subaru alarm won't let you, you can lock the doors, you just can't arm the alarm. The 3 parts - alarm, harness and timer just don't allow for it.

Why is there always the azhole that knows the answer to a question, looks at the thread, then actually wastes their time posting just to say "search you noob, lol" instead of "Its on XYZ Forums"

Thanks for your great wisdom sir...

by they way, how do you think I came across an 8 year old thread- wow- maybe by a search...

anyways, does anyone know where I can find the info now?

12) Above the fuse panel, there is a black Keyless entry module. Remove this - 1 10mm bolt.

13) Find the dark green w/ black trace wire and cut it. Tape both ends and bolt the keyless entry module back where it came from.

14) On the security system module (located on the drivers side of the parking brake) find the gray wire and cut that, taping both ends.

from the bible- http://www.northursalia.com/modifica...ain/tt/tt.html

Is this correct for my Blitz? i dont just want to start cutting wires.

the whole point of searching is to find an old thread that has discussed it, like this one. thanks for telling the bumper something he has already done. and since you have so much time to go through the thread and make a comment how about making use of yourself FIND the thread that solves this and post it?

i have a blitz turbotimer and my factory alarm seems to arm and lock but aftermarket alarm cannot while the car is still on..
