Default My wagon goes 11's!!!!!!!!!!!!

Just got back from the Battle of the Imports in VA!!

It was an excellent event with a ton of nice vehicles. We took my wagon out for two test passes on Friday night.

The first pass was a conservative no NOS pass that went 12.75 @ 108.

The next and only other pass I would make that night would be the one to put me in the 11's!!!!

I ran 11.80 @ 115 MISSING FOURTH GEAR!!!!!

This run was made with all of my previous mods (go to www.driversimage.com) with the addition of:

ihivf30
60 shot nitrous
17" wheels w/ drag radials
no air filter ( removed passenger headlight)
no exhaust ( just a down pipe)
prototype clutch masters stage iv clutch w/ flywheel
apex afc
inlet tube
tenzo race seat
100 octane gasolne

still stock:
injectors
pump
rail
computer
internals 100% stock

I am very hapy with this pass and appreciate all of the nice people from the I club who showed up to see my car.

The track officials told me I needed a cage to race any further....so I let a friend drive the car on Saturday with a bit less boost and he ran low 12's all day!!

Once again thanx to all the great people who stopped by to see my car!!

Gregg

11.80 @ 115

P.s. the 11 second pass had a 1.66 60 foot!!!!

Default Don't you just hate it when the tell you your too fast

Congratulations looks like you got the first solid 11 second pass. You not only broke in to the 11's but did it by a pretty good margin.

Hey couple of my friends and I stopped by on Saturday and talked to you about your car when you where in the lane, I was the tall asian guy BTW. Congratulations, 11.8 is very fast considering you had all those stereo stuff in your trunk. I am sure you can break into mid 11s when you strip it all out. Nice talking to you.

yeah, I heard all about the 11 sec wrx after my friends came back from the track on friday. I went to battle on saturday to find it running 12's... kinda disappointed, but now I know why. Congratulations on your ET's. I'm glad you didn't break anything (breaking seemed to be the theme at battle this year )

What kind of fuel pressures were you pushing to get enough fuel for that? And why haven't you upgraded that stuff yet? I know it isn't a money issue.

Nice! That must have been a wild ride! Did you know you broke 11s after the run, or were you suprised when you saw the slip?? Congratulations again for being the first on i-club to break 11s.
Also, your car is using the stock transmission, computer, and injectors, thats just amazing. I would never have guessed that would be possible. the 12.75sec. quarter mile without NOS is not too shabby either. peace!
Paul

Thanks guys for all of the good words...

Yes the tranny is 100 % stock also. The clutch did help out tremendously!!

I know it will go low 11's with the current set-up. I went 12.20 at 114.....when I went 11.80 I missed fourth and the mph was only 115 so I know that would have been a 11.40 or so @ 118 or so.

Hopefully, I'll get to run it this weekend after Hot Import Nights!!

Gregg

I guess with this new record, the quest for breaking into the 10's has begun!!! Who will be next into the 11's? (Maybe Phil)

Gregg,
While I don't agree with your choice to use stock fueling, I have to give ya props for this latest accomplishment. Not a big fan of nitrous, but whatever works...you are the fastest WRX out there now. What about joining us IL crowd down at Byron on July 13? I'm sure everyone would love to see your car in action. Granted there is no money involved, but we will have 7 trophies
