I am debating whether to wait for these or go with Impreza AGXs (and the lowering that comes with that). Anything new?
Thanks, Doug

Not to stir the pot, but does the Outback Sports (i.e. Impreza's) have any sport struts/springs? If so I think that SubieGal might have been alluding to the fact that since Legacy = Impreza, then possibly OBS = OB as far as struts/springs.
Just a thought. |

OBS' use Impreza suspension components, and are a direct replacement. They won't work on an OB.

to clarify; the impreza stuff will bolt right on. Whether it'sa good idea is another question. I put RS struts on my OB as an experiment and they were severely underdamped for the OB springs.....
But they fit with no problems, other than that the OB strut shaft is ~10mm thicker than the RS part......beefy looking strut, so the bumpstops from my OB were *way* too big... |

Seeing as the new Subaru Baja "Pickup trukette" is basically an Outback with the rear roof section cut away, and it has a much firmer suspension then the Outback, Perhaps these new KYB "Outback" Struts are in reality "Baja" struts that will fit the 2000-2003 "Outbacks" ?
Does any one have the part numbers for the 'Baja' struts ? |

since it has no rear struts. Like all 2k and newer Legacys.
KYB's estimate for the front struts is early winter (given thier track record on this product, I wouldn't count on it). Rear struts are available now. Luke@tirerack.com can give your the latest scoup |

I know might be little off topic..
how about new struts front & rear for 2000 Legacy GT Sedan..? pm me with the info or post here.. nothing special required.. just something that will replace little bouncy worn stock ones. |
