Default Administrators... like to contribute a STi video...

Do we have video section??

I just got the new 2003 Feb Best Motoring video.. they did a
thorough test with the new JDM face-lifted STi...
It's on a VCD (~500+MB) in japanese with chinese subtitle...
Let me know if NASIOC.com like to host the video...

Here's the brief description of the content:
(all vehicles are JDM, of course)
==================================
New vs Old Sti on roadcourse (3 laps)
(Old STi is a limited Edition with old Spec C engine)

New vs Old Sti on 0-400m

Short explanation on improvement over old STi
Short explanation on new equal-length header
Short explanation on new and improved aerodynamics

New vs Old STi on slalom test

Short explanation on how DCCD improves handling
(sort of)

Short impression of Legacy STi S401
(cayon and road course)

Special Stage WRC Impreza vs New STi

New STi vs New STi Spec C vs Old Spec C vs EVO7 GSR vs EVO7 RS
road course (5 laps)

Short intro of RX8 (USDM!!)
==============================

I could also send a copy to a Japanese speaking forum member
that like to translate the video..

Paul Hansen, did you see the video yet?.. care to comment?

Btw, whats the correct conversion factor for

kg/m2 ==> lb/ft2??
New JDM 2.0 STi has 40.2 of kg/m2

I would love to host it, but no way we could... that would absolutly crush the site's bandwidth. Waaaay too many people at a time would be downloading that thing if I put it up.

Someone needs to find a free host to squash. Anyone?

Are you asking about torque or turbo pressue? If it is torque it is not divide '/'. When you divide that means pressure. Since that number would be nearly zero for pressure I think you mean torque:

40.2 Kilogram-Meter = 290.767145 Foot-Pounds

As for your VCD. You can use various programs to break it into parts and copmpress it then post it to a newsgroup. Anyone can download it then. PM me and I will explain how to do that.

Thanks prost893.

Nick,
The video is in mpeg format (VCD 1.0)... I'm sure it can be
compressed more....

If anyone like to host the video or part of it.... I can mail a copy
of the VCD over...

PM me...

Btw, both JDM STi and Spec C have the 10 spoke BBS wheels...
instead of the 5 twin-spoke ones...

I might be able to host it on my site. Gotta do some checking and see how much space is left. Feel free to contact me directly, if you want to give it a shot.

Thanks!

welp as soon as my web service upgrades my account, I will have something like 950 megs available with no bandwidth restrictions. So now I just need the video and we should be cool.

postage on a cd with a jewel case in a cd sized mailer will cost 1.06. if the mailer is a bit bigger, it might cost up to about 1.50.

Put the mpeg on Kazaa, and then someone can compress it with DivX, that should shrink it to a smaller size (less than 200mb, I'd think). a 200mb download at cable modem speeds isn't too bad.

sent you a PM.

I can compress it onto DiVX and send it out to a person if they'd like to host it.

I am guessing with the movie's current bitrate with DiVX encoding, I can cut it down to at least 300mb if not much less.

if more than one person can host it you should divide the DL's up by location in the country if possible
