So no radio but standard with "dual power fold away mirrors"...
???
I guess they are really trying to make STi only attract "serious"
buyers...

Just for fun... I look up a few car's curb weight on edmunds for
comparison...

Lancer EVO [with sunroof] ==> 3263 [3298]
????????.. now I know the reason that SOA removed the radio
even though radio's weight is almost negligible...

Others...
E36 M3 coupe (my car..) ==> 3175 lbs
E46 M3 ==> 3415 lbs
E46 M3 vert ==> 3781 lbs
(M3 got faster... and heavier)

Corvette C5 coupe ==> 3214 lbs
Corvette C5 Z06 ==> 3116 lbs
(low weight... and high HP!!)

Ford Mustang SVT Cobra ==> 3665 lbs
Ford Mustang Mach 1 ==> 3465 lbs
(high weight and high hp)

Nissan 350Z track ==> 3225 lbs
Nissan 350Z touring ==> 3247 lbs
Infiniti G35 Coupe manual ==> 3435 lbs
(somewhat similar hp and weight to STi)

Mazda RX8 ==> 2940 lbs (got this off C&D mag)
(light weight)

Honda S2000 ==> 2809 lbs
(even lighter weight)

Acura NSX ==> 3153 lbs (so much for all aluminum body)
(not much light weight.. but lighter wallet... )

I thought it was put to rest after Glenn Wallace pointed out that the specs on Subaru Media were a misprint.

It's also nice to see that we now have an answer to the whole windshield wiper fin controversy.

Now that I had a little time, I cut and resized to make more viewable on size challenged monitors.
If you want the full size scans I have linked them below.

It's nice seeing the track length on the STi is .6 longer than all the other Imprezas including the WRX.

No rear seat center pass through??????????? Not a deal breaker by all means, but would have been nice.

Err, you must have missed these discussions:

no pass through = weight saving

track length = JDM STi Spec C front geometry which means more caster, which means better turn in

JT-KGY: I think that NSX weight is for the NSX-T. The Coupe weighs only 3069 lbs.

http://www.nsxprime.com/FAQ/Technical/GeneralSpecs.htm

Still, I would have guessed lighter-- I wonder how much weight the Aluminum saved?

They mean that the mirrors are power adjustable and they are able to fold, not that it is power folding.
