Default GF8 Wagon for Sale(Formerly 99 OBS)

I have converted my OBS wagon into a STI Version V replica wagon.

RS bumper, Hella fog lights, RS sideskirts, MRT STI replica wagon roof spoiler, OBS waist spoiler, Painted all black.

I'm looking at $12000 or best offer due to all the parts and modification it has undergone.

If it doesn't sell I am going to part out the RS front bumper conversion( including bumper, bumper beam, Hella 500s and mounting brackets) for a reasonable price?

Please email me if you are interested and I can send pics.

Thanks for looking

Angry

Crap!!

I have always wanted to put an RS bumper on the OBS, but I highly doubt the wife would give me the OK. Sucks when you have the cash to do things like this, but have other prioities - $3k deck, $1k shed, etc. Sorry for venting.

BTW, saw you on the track at PIR for the Subie event - looked good. Is the motor stock?

Drew,

Yeah the motor is stock. I first wanted to do a low boost turbo kit, then wanted to do a EJ20T swap, now it looks like I might as well go w/ a real wrx. I'm pretty bummed about parting w/ the car. I just couldn't see spending more money and not have a true WRX. Maybe I should just give it as much N/A power as possible

What are/were your long range plans for the car? As far as resale of course, a stock WRX would be better in the long run over a conversion, but I think there is a higher coolness facter with conversions.

If you were planning on keeping the car for a long time, say 10yrs or longer, and really liked your wagon, I'd stay with it and do a conversion. I don't know anything about pricing on the ej20t, but they had to come down a lot when the WRX came over and maybe even more with the arrival of the STi. I personally like the look of 1st gen Imprezas and hope to do a conversion when the motor eventually tires out, probably about the time my future kids are ready to drive.

Good luck with the sale if you choose to do it. And if you end up parting with the bumper parts, shoot me an email with a price and I'l beg and plead with the wife. Cheers!

Hey, I never said thanks for the pics you sent me. The car looks awesome. I love the STi ver. 5/6 wagon. Why I am not sure, my friends say it is the responsible side in me that would rather have that then a Skyline, yes please don't flame me for that comment. Or a RS4 Avant.... ah, not sure why but those are two of my favorite cars. Anyways, this is a beautiful car, if you don't mind me asking, what color was it originaly? If I have the cash or come up with it, it won't be for a month or so anyways, so if you still have it, I would love to buy it off you, though I would want to keep the RS front bumper. whatever you do good luck, peace ~Erick

I know this is fruitless, but nevertheless. I would do a straight trade for my 98 L. Essentially the same car, just not a wagon. Low miles! PRISTINE condition!!!!!

Haha, if not. Good luck selling it! She's beeeaa-utiful!

I already own myself a GF8, but I'm curious about your roof rails. You source them or did they come factory ( yours one be one of the very elite if it did).

I was on the trail of the GF8 roof rails also. No part number to be found anywhere. Although I myself have seen a 95 wagon w/ the roof rails you speak of. I actually retrofit some legacy roof rail onto the mounting points.

Did I see you yesterday on Hogan road in Gresham (around 6:15PM)? I was heading south and caught a glimpse of what I thought was your car, but was not sure as there was a bit of traffic around us. Just wonderin'

I was in a blue 510, but I doubt you saw me.

I haven't because I assumed you were going to try and sell the car with it first. Would you want my stock bumper, or did you keep yours? How much did it cost you to have the bumper painted and who did it? Just curious as I would need to have it painted the stock goldish color. I'll talk to her tonight and see what she thinks.
