Perhaps making High Point a stop? Although its not the most glorious vista it is a rather well kept park, the road up is rather nice as well as RT-23 over the mountain.

First 48hrs of Tri-state
2nd Annual 48hrs of Tri-state

It's not really a "cannonball" but it's more of a group drive of subies that hits all the major spots in the Tri-state area that the members on here post from. Kinda like a real live meet the members rather than just meeting online. Last year we met members in LI, Albany, Rochester, Woodbridge, Philly, Allentown, Pittsburg. This year we are gonna try to meet up with more of the southern NJ members and central NY ones.

Sounds like it would be a shorter run. How about adding more in Conn? Maybe widen the loop out a little bit.

You know I'll be there again:-) IT's already on my company calendar.

..better make it the 72hrs of tri-state +1

I'd like to spend a lil more time than sleeping at a stop so that maybe we can enjoy the people and sites.

Brandon, since the scope will be a bit shorter this year, we can spend a little more time in each spot. Also we are probably going to do as many backroads as possible, so that we can really get a feel for the tristate rather than all highways.

We should be arriving in canada significantly earlier this year. Last year we were late in arriving due to the massive snow storm we hit!

Has a date been picked yet as I would like to go again but this year I didn't know until it was too late for me to ask off.

The plan sounds great and Samir would be coming too.

Departing Thursday January 1st, 2004 in the evening, returning Sunday January 4th in the evening. We'll be sleeping over most likely thurs night in Albany @ hotel, Friday night in Niagara Falls @ hotel, and Sat night @ hotel in Philadelphia.

Last year it worked out nicely, Friday night we hit the casino's and adult entertainment places, Saturday night our hotel was across from Dave and Busters so we hit there and a few local watering holes.

Other than the massive snow storm, last year was a smashing success IMHO.

Looking forward to having you and Samir along this year!!!

I'm gonna have to agree with Jay here, the snow was fun despite how nerve wracking it could be at times. Yes we must get to Niagra Falls earlier in the evening this time around. The new route sounds great to me too.

Andy better be there this year. Last year just wasn't the same with out his cheerful accent floating over the airwaves of our CB's.

See you all next year on the 48 hours of Tri-State

Should do NYC from Liberty State Park - we have the best views of the City from this side of the Hudson!
