Default Results from dyno 3/6 300whp

Well yestarday morning we took a few cars to TurboTrix for some dyno runs. My car was the last of about the 6 we had. Junior did his best to tune the car from the crapy maps i made to drive up there.

The first run was at about 211 whp. After a few runs it was up to 245, then a little while later 275. After a few more tweaks we made between 290 and 306 whp for the next 10 runs as junior worked out some of the bugs. The final numbers came out to 300whp and around 285 ft/lbs.

MODS:

-Autospeed Turboback exhaust
-Autospeed Up-pipe
-Autospeed Crank Pulley
-Autospeed FMIC
-PE 650cc injectors
-perrin fuel Rails
-Walbro 255 fuel pump
-Utec
-TXS BOV
-Samco inlet tube
-Turbo Specialties Td06-16g runing 19psi tapering to 17
-Kaaz gearset

im sure there is more im forgeting but that is about it. All and all im happy with the results. Car is running strong and I will be heading to Atco sometime this week to fee how she does.

Frank

You have the web site that gives info on the turbo? I'm liking the 16G and hear it spools up VERY nicely.

I actually dont know too much about the actual turbo that i have, i bought it used from a friend who had bought it from the original owner. The turbo is supposedly one of three made by turbo specialties. i would say contact them and see what they have to offer.

The turbo was designed for maximum spool and about 300WHP. It is a rare beast. I bought it from the original owner and sold it to Frank before I ever installed it. The original owner maxed his 565cc injectors with it, so Franky is right where he should be on power. At what RPM do you have peak torque Frank?

Frank and Jim,

I am sorry that I never got a chance to reply witht he specific on the turbo. I don't even remember the specs on it. This was a franken turbo created for me by Turbo Specialties. There were only few created and I was lucky enough to own one of them.

Jr should have laid your dyno chart on top of mine (when I dynoed the 16G). and see if the curves were any different. It spooled for me like a VF30 would but felt much stronger on top end.

There is def. somepower left in it. My STi injectors were just maxed out.

Throw some race fuel and see where it goes.

Yeah I finnaly finished up the front mount and took the turbo off of the shelf. I am quite happy with it. I think it may be a bit lagier than I had expected but it is hard to say, i have to drive it some more to get a good feel of it. Not sure where peak torque was. I will post the graphs once i get them, we are waiting for TurboTrix to send them to us.
