Hey Greg, Do you have any side view photos showing your bigger tires on your lifted car? Any clearance issues?

Yeah, I meant to post that in the other thread, sorry, lol. I guess I swapped from that thread to this (or whatever the hell happened).

Anyways, I some how taco'd my skid plate today and turned it into a grader pretty much... I'll add a pic to this thread once I unpack everything from the car tomorrow.

Just figured I'd reply since I just found that mis-post I made... Freakin' deleted the wrong post me thinks.

Thanks! SG forester struts and springs, 27x9.5s on 15x7 and 25 mm spacers to provide a bit wider lateral stance. I have trailing arm spacers on order to recenter the rear wheels as well, but everything has gone together well so far without.

Don't remember if the fozzie struts match up. You'll probably have to go the same direction I did: lifting springs and 1" spacers (which I no longer need, willing to sell).

Looking to keep the suspension fairly stock, Thinking of doubling up on spacers. were your rear wheels centered in the wheel well after the lift? How much are you looking to get for your stuff... Selling your bumper?

I wouldn't double spacers that high personally, something about it makes me think of wearing platform shoes on top of stilts. Also, it's only going to hive you clearance. Kind of pointless to say you want to keep the suspension mostly stock, even with just the spacers, they can deny warranty claims for the suspension components affected by them. Better off going the route most 3rd Gen guys go, revalved struts(not 100% necessary, but your stocker's life span will be shorter with any spring change) & lifting springs, with some of us adding in strut top spacers. I also do have the lifting springs, btw(King ~1.5").

The rear wheels were way forward, look at DKDunns picture (before), that's about where my rear wheel sat. However, Derek (Skemcin every forum I've seen him on) at Gorilla Offroad, makes some adjustable rear trailing arms for the 3rd gens too. That would be the same company that DKDunn just installed.

As far as price, look at the price on the Subtle Solutions 1" aluminum spacer lift kit, then shoot me an offer. The springs would be $320 shipped if you're in the US. I'd consider selling the bumper, but I wouldn't ship it, thing is the size of the stock bumper, but 3 times the weight. It's be $450 picked up. I'd even help install it.

When I said I wanted to keep my suspension mostly stock I meant that I wanted to keep my "ride" stock. I have a great deal of suspension experience with trucks. My plan was to double subtle spacers with the adjustable trailing arms to center the wheels.

I will get back to you on the spacers. Made a few large purchases recently in fear that the government will try and ban my weapons based on how they look. Also I am getting Married in 12 days. Do you have the springs still on the struts? I think I am going to pass on the bumper.

Also to throw the option out there for anyone who needs parts, I have 2" SUMO trailing arm spacers w/ all extended hardware coming in soon which I'm not convinced I'm going to need after all (I still should examine the post-lift geometry a little closer and see if I should recenter the wheels better). If you're trying to get lifted without replacing trailing arm brackets let me know!

The front fenders are WRC, and the rear pieces are Kakumei.

Ah, okay, gotcha. Just FYI though, a good number of people find the king springs to be a better setup than the stock springs. I found them a lot more comfortable on the road, and off, But that was with the revalved struts so it could be less noticeable with just a spring change. This would be a good spot for someone with that experience to chime in (Jack?).

Sounds good, feel free to PM me if/when you're wanting them. Why would the government ban your weapons? Thought you were generally grandfathered in if you have something they suddenly ban. Congrats ahead of time on the wedding!

Nope the struts were already sold maybe a month and a half ago to the same Jack I called out above. Cool on the bumper, I'll probably end up chopping it to work on the older crash beams.

I spoke with Paul from Primative about lifting my car... Apparently there is a forester suspension that will go into my WRX. He says I need brake lines though, TommySWRX did not need new brake lines I do not believe. Thinking I might go that route if I can find some forester stuff cheap.

I know there are usually grandfather clauses, but Feinstein is leading an army of ignorant libs and she wants to reinstate an AWB with no sunset clause and no grandfather provision "perfected" the witch says. The AWB of 1994 did nothing to prevent any crime, firearm deaths slightly increased. But here they go again. I say fictional because Assault Weapons are defined as select fire/fully automatic weapons and they have been illegal for civilian transfer since the National Firearms Act of 1986. When they refer to an assault weapon in the news these days involved in a shooting they are blowing smoke. Your average hunting rifle is WAY more powerful then an Armalite Rifle or an Avtomat Kalashnikov anyways. Guns are Inanimate Objects. They have no will or ability. They are only tools. If someone wants you dead and they do not have a gun, they will use something else. Guns do not kill people people do. The only counter to a bad man with a gun, is a good man with a gun. Bad men do not obey gun laws. Gun control Only takes the guns out of good honest peoples hands. for every crime a gun is used to commit, 5 crimes are stopped with guns. It did not work in Britain, Violent and gun related crime is orders of magnitude higher than that in the US per capita. Look how many Jews were killed because they were disarmed in WWII. What about the millions upon millions that lost their lives under Stalin because they were disarmed. This is why our forefathers wrote it as the Second Amendment. For protection from the government that the Constitution provides for. With the same weapons used by our military. It was never about hunting or sport.

According to the FBI the number one weapon used in violent crimes resulting in death is the baseball bat. We need baseball bat control. Cigarettes are 500 times more lethal than firearms. Look for yourselves.
