Any input on BFG G-Force Super Sport tires?
I'm looking for personal experiences with these tires. I've tried to do a search, but could only find 1 or 2 posts on them. My other option for tires are Yokohama Advan S.4's. I am looking for an all-season high performance tire...
The type of driving I do is 70% city, 30% highway, with occasional snowboarding and mountain bike trips to Big Bear, Mammoth, Tahoe, and Mt. Bachelor. Some off-road desert driving on hard-packed dirt, as well as sand driving in Glamis & Pismo Beach. Thanks for the input edit: adding info about driving in desert... I am also towing usually 2 motocross bikes, but sometimes like to do some rally inspired driving without the tow...

My dad had them on his 07wrx. They wore out kinda fast somewhere between 20k-25k miles. I thought they gripped well in the dry. In the wet even at full tread they left something to be desired with standing water on the highway. They weren't a bad tire but they weren't great either. The lack of hydroplane resistance is quite a turn off for me.

one of the better performing all season tires in the dry .... gave up a lot of wet and snow grip to achieve that though

If you are comming up to Bachelor in the winter you definetly need all season tyres. If it's the summer...
I went to school in Klamath Falls. |

after all that... I ended up with the Yokohama's... I hope I get what I paid for at $150/tire including installation... it's almost breaking the bank for me, but I think they should be a good upgrade from what I have now (BFG G-force sport, not the super-sports)

Anything is an upgrade from gForce Sports. Worst "performance" tire I've ever used. They were overpriced and had less grip than any other summer tire I've used. Even less than than the economy Fusion ZRIs tires I have on my beater that cost near 1/3 as much.
