Default Stock 07 STI Times

I ran my stock STI at the track and got 3 13.6 sec passes with mph ranging from 101-104. This was on a typical hot muggy south fl night, 80 degrees with 85% humidity. I know I could ssqueeze a little more out of it if i launched a bit harder. My best 60 ft time was 1.996. I am just coming off a blown tranny on my wrx so I am being a bit nicer to my STI I was very impressed with it though. How many 4 cylinder cars can you go buy and have them in the 13's?? On a side note I did rip up a gto check it out here

You won't blow your tranny by launching a stock STi....find another 300hp then worry about breaking it.

Knock a couple tenths off that 60' and you'll find some time down the track.

Get that 60' down to a low 1.7 and your at 13.2 and go back on a better day and maybe scratching on 12.999. You should be able to do it with a 104mph trap and good driving.
And if you just want to shoot for a number take out the back seats, pass seat, spare, jack etc and take a big dump before you go to the track.

Not really. The STi is pretty easy to launch. It was way easier for me than my 02 WRX.

I got 1.7's my first time at the track in my STi. Granted most of these have mods and I had a TBE when I ran mine, but a tbe isnt gonna net you 0.2 on your 60'.

Heres some examples

1.78 60'

Now that's really stretching for weight reduction

You'd be better off getting a midget to drive the car.

I thought I read somewhere before that they are tested to 550 ft*lbs at the factory.

People have run low 10's on the stock 6 spd, pretty sure you wont have any problems.

Yeah, if you're not running a 1.7 60' you're not beating on it hard enough. I have 56 passes at the track, and all are 1.7 or better.

The WRX was a nightmare

I have been wondering what some of the stock times are.... I wish there was a section that had the times and upgrades listed and only that.

This has times and mod lists for the vf39. But you cant just look at the times and say "my cars gonna run that" altitude, weather, track, and most of all driver will greatly affect your times/traps

Did you ice down your intercooler? I ran the same time in my sti but at 98mph. Im guessing it was because of the heatsoak i got while in line before i ran.

Nope no ice or spraying of any kind. The folks at moroso are pretty strict on ice.

my best completely stock in my 07 is a 13.44 @ 101 with a 1.8 60' in Orlando with a temp around 98 degrees

I got quite a few 1.6x with my stg 2 04 sti...my worst launch ever at the track with that car was a 1.9 and that was my first try. After that I was always low 1.7's or 1.6's

Just put the ice in your intercooler sprayer and spray it on the line. If you do it just right you wont leave a puddle at the line and you wont leave a puddle in the staging lanes.

I have been asked to leave the staging lanes several times

For the last run of the night i usually just hold it down the whole time i am lining up
