Timing Issue
Alright guys, my gates timing belt tensioner failed with less than 2000 miles on it. I have never timed an EJ engine before so I need some advice. The heads have been resurfaced and I tried so much to get the double marks to line up. Do the marks not line up perfectly due to the heads being resurfaced?

You look fine. Spin the crank by hand (clockwise, 2 full turns, socket and bar on crank bolt), recheck. If it looks like the pictures again, you're good.

Rotated a few full turns with the same result. Thank you man! I caught it time thankfully so the timing was still on. |
